I hope to be there but I don't have any set plans yet. Is it at Bartle Hall?

Man, I hate to pay $15 bucks to see the same cars that were there last year. There's just not a high turnover at World of Wheels from year to year. I go about every other year unless there is some special car that strikes my fancy on display. But, like I said in my reply to Dan, after the Starbird Show, it's kind of a second-rate event (at least to me anyway). Still, it's sure nice to see all the sparkly toys on the floor. Ellis

Ellis, you're probably right about not being able to top the Starbird show. I'm actually having second thoughts about going to the WoW show. I'll probably decide later in the week, as to if I'm going or not. I hate to NOT support a local show, but if it's the same old stuff, I might just pass on this years event. CHEERSSS!!! ZIMM

Here is a general read that I have gotten from the clubs in general. They are not overly happy with the new location. Many of them are not going to turn out in the numbers that they have in the past. At this point, I'm not sure whether or not I will make the show myself. Long story behind that.

I remember one time that the WOW was at the American Royal. The Slammers hosted the model contest in the lower level. The models were all covered with dust by the end of the show, and the lighting sucked. Bartle Hall is a way better place to have the show. But...I will be there if at all possible. I want to support the show and there is always at least a few vehicles that are worth seeing up close.

I'll be going, just not sure what day. I'll have to get with my brother and see what day he has off before I'll know for sure. I want to see just how awful the "Real Life Mater" looks.

I like the Foose car but there seems to be more and more cars kind of falling into that cookie cutter design mill of low slung futuristic "hot-roddy" style! 'Mater was kind of the entry for the kiddies wasn't it? Ellis

NOW NOW NOW, the WOW had a whole lot of cars that were worth looking at. I know we've seen most of them before, and that's likely to be the story forever and ever. Usually takes a bit more time to do a 1:1 than one of our little ones. And I know it's hard to justify the price sometimes, especially when parking adds another 5-7 $. But even though I was a bit sorry to not be overwhelmed with lots of new neat cars, I still walked through the whole thing and saw lots of cars and even found a few that WOWed me. Maybe I felt OK about it because my expectations weren't way up there to begin with. But I did enjoy looking at them all. Even the Scions!

I had way too much going on the weekend of WOW to attend. Some of the negative vibes I was getting from the clubs influenced my decision as well as it was the weekend of the Daytona 500. Bad move. We always have a blowout at our place during the race. That scratched Sunday. Friday was bad because of my work schedule and the ACCKC site took quite a bit of my time on Saturday. Only having about three free hours to attend the show just wasn't enough to do it justice.
If anyone has photos from the show that they would like to have posted on the ACCKC site, bring a CD with your name on it and I will get them posted. Anytime photos other than my own are posted, I like to note who took them and their club affiliation on the site. It will also help to draw traffic to the Slammers site because I link the club website when there is one too.
